Game formats

Beyond the game formats, there is a multitude of versions for our games that can be applied across sports for any format.

Draft n Go: Head-to-Head (H2H)

These are mini versions of fantasy games. They are fantasy contests where only two teams can participate, creating a concept of a “duel” against only one opponent. As a result, the player only has to beat one other player to double their money (minus the rake - which is usually smaller due to the size of the contest). Head-to-head contests are available for all our fantasy events (slates) and are automatically managed - once a contest fills, a new one spawns in the lobby for more users to enter.

Draft n Go: Best of 3 + Best of 6

These are very similar to the H2H contests, with the difference being that 3 or 6 players compete against each other. On the Best of 6 versions, the top two teams win prizes. Draft n Go contests can be set up in any size of the partner’s request, but are generally used in these three versions to maximize the number of entries.

Winner Takes All

These are normal tournaments with guaranteed prize pools and (normally) no cap on total entries. The difference from the usual fantasy contests is that only the top-scoring team will win, but they will claim the full prize pool. This contest structure can be popular among users but is not often used as it can hurt the economy of the platform as the prizes are not circulating across users.

Double or Nothing

In these contests, the top half of the entrants will double their entry, and the bottom half will lose. They are somewhat similar to the H2H contests in the fact that the payout is fixed to 2x but is not limited to one opponent. A benefit of this game is that the guaranteed prize pool is not important as it won’t affect the payouts.

Satellites

Also called “qualifier” tournaments, these are contests that lead up to other more expensive ones that are highly-seen. Instead of paying out cash prizes, these tournaments payout “tickets” that can be used to enter the target event. They are very useful to raise anticipation for an upcoming event and to help users play for higher prizes with smaller investments (f.e. Qualify to the headline €100 contest with just €2).

Freerolls

Free-to-play tournaments are a very useful tool for promotions. These are normal fantasy tournaments except users do not have to pay to enter.
The prizes given from these tournaments are often cash or tournament tickets.

Friend Leagues

These are user-created leagues that can be initiated by users themselves and set up with any buy-in, a limit of entrants, and to be either publicly visible or private.
These work the same way as regular contests and can be used for any of our Daily Fantasy or season games. We also have very customisable prize distribution formats to tailor the paybacks to users.

Matchups

Scout’s Matchup product is a fantasy sports offering where players can participate in head-to-head matchups between two or more real-life athletes or teams in a specific sport or game.

Instead of selecting a full lineup, participants predict which of the two matched athletes or teams will perform better based on predefined metrics. This streamlined format emphasizes individual performance comparisons, making it appealing to both casual and seasoned fantasy sports players.
