What data Scout Ltd and Scout & Co Limited (collectively "Scout") collect when you visit scoutgaming.com, how we use it, who has access, and how you exercise your rights — written in line with EU and local privacy law.
Like most website operators, Scout collects data about visitors to our website at scoutgaming.com. This helps us understand how useful the website is and how to improve it. Certain functions provide information for website subscribers and ensure updated information about Scout.
Scout's data-collection practices are governed by this Privacy Policy, which tells you what data we collect, how we use that data, and who has access to it.
You have many rights that you can use to control your privacy. Scout respects those rights. We want to help you exercise them — details on how to do so are in Section 09.
The purpose and the technical means of processing are defined jointly by Scout Ltd (Malta company C 64899) and Scout & Co Limited (Malta company C 81596). For specific processing activities, one of these entities may act as sole controller; the other acts as joint controller where appropriate.

Scout is constantly improving its website and aims to make using it as easy as possible. For this purpose, we need to know what information is most relevant to visitors, how often they connect, what browser and device they use, what content is most-read, what region visitors come from, and similar demographics and statistics.
Scout collects this information using an automated tool called Google Analytics. This allows us to record and analyse how visitors use the website. You can learn more about how Google Analytics works on Google's support pages.
Scout uses this data on the basis of our legitimate interest as a business in improving our understanding of client needs and preferences in order to constantly improve client access to information that Scout publishes.
You may at any time disable collection of your data by Google Analytics — see Section 05.
The server that hosts the Scout website may also record requests you make to the server, such as the web address you open, the device and browser you use, your IP address, and the date and time of access. This data is used only for technical purposes — to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website, and to investigate possible security incidents.
The basis for collecting and using such data is Scout's legitimate interest in ensuring the technical availability and security of the website.
Like many websites, scoutgaming.com uses cookies to improve the way the site functions for its visitors and to provide the website with information.

Scout uses the data from cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest — to ensure the technical functionality of the website. When cookies are used to remember your choices or for statistical purposes, the legal basis is your consent.
Some persistent cookies are third-party cookies from web-analytics companies and other third parties engaged to monitor your navigation on the website.
Scout uses Google Analytics to record and analyse how visitors use the website. We also use Facebook for interaction; you can read about Facebook cookies on Facebook's cookies policy page.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, or via the third-party tool pages — for example Google's ad-settings tools, Your Online Choices, and Facebook's cookies policy.
Logs and other data collected for strictly technical purposes (proper functioning, security and incident investigation) are processed on the basis of Scout's legitimate interest in ensuring the technical availability and security of the website, and cannot be opted out of while you use the site.
